| In
the state of Florida, the administration of
your estate is a process that almost always
requires an attorney. The Florida Probate
Code and its rules of procedure provide many
mandatory filing requirements and deadlines
that must be followed to ensure the smooth transfer
of assets and payments of liabilities during
the estate administration process.
At
Nicholas T. Steffens & Associates, P.A.,
we are committed to working with personal representatives,
heirs, spouses and other parties to ensure that
all of their rights are protected. We
also work closely with accountants and other
financial professionals to ensure that tax requirements
are met as well.
As
part of the probate process, our office will
determine the best type of probate to effectuate
the administration of the estate, open the estate
(including the appointment of a personal representative,
if necessary), identify and gather assets, pay
the estate’s debts, distribute the assets and
close the estate.
